I’m Dr. Amanda Plevell, a PHD and Board Certified Doctor of Naturopathy, Clinical Nutrition Neuroscientists  and pioneer of Neurogenic Recollection Medicine. I am concerned with uncovering the experiences by which the nervous systems mediate physiology, so that people that are sick and tired with un-resolved symptoms can learn tools to identify hidden factors to feel better and enjoy a greater purpose in life.

I was one of those where conventional medicine didn't work for me.  Not only that, but it made the conditions worse and brought new problems.  I suffered iatrogenesis, in which illness or symptoms are caused by doctors, hospitals, or treatments.  I couldn't move, I was bound to a wheelchair, with no prognosis of recovery.

But I did learn to walk again, use my arms, and write.  In fact, I ran a 5k 6 months after my recovery.

I learned I was not the only one who felt let down, scared, or hopeless with a medical condition.  I learned there were others that didn't know who to trust or were discharged saying their labs were normal and nothing was wrong with them and didn't know where to turn.

Over 15 years and in the course of learning how to fix myself, I earned a doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine, a PhD in Natural Medicine, a certificate as a brain health practitioner, and a Master's of Science in Clinical Nutrition, specializing in trauma nutrition and neuroscience.

Now I spend my time teaching people how to learn the code of their own body, where their nervous system got off track and how that played out in their physical health.  My team and I teach them curated regulating strategies and hidden health clues once they understand why their body is doing what it is.

My mission is to evolve healthcare to create healing communities where it’s easy to be healthy and okay to be happy.

MISSION

My Personal Mission: To create environments conducive to healthy lives, and communities that make it easy to be healthy. I work to increase the use of nutrition and lifestyle as primary practice, raising mass consciousness and the health of our world.

For over 15 years now, I have devoted my life to educating and helping people take charge of their lives to overcome and empower themselves—and discover the lives they were meant to live. I believe I was not called to study “pathogenesis”, looking for the CAUSE of the disease, but to follow the study of “salutogenesis”, rather, answering the question, “What causes health?” and creating an environment internally for the cells to thrive, and externally for the whole being to thrive.

Now, we have put together a qualified compassionate team to help carry out courses of education, a system inside a therapeutic partnership, walking with you step by step on your journey.

My doctorates and scope of practice are of the professor/scientist/researcher variety; I and my team put great effort into education and training, to help clients take charge of their own health expression, or as we call it, learning to DO the things that cause health, a “practice of salutogenesis” if you will.

I am also a Clinical Nutritionist, specializing in Autoimmune and Trauma Nutrition. Not only can I help with general nutrition, diabetes, and weight concerns, but this also encompasses a whole realm of people that fall in the “gaps” in conventional medicine.

Where curative medicine is devoted to help people who are drowning and preventive medicine is helping people not to fall into the river, the salutogenic approach and sense of coherence is focusing on enabling people to swim."
