Hi, my name is Amanda Plevell. I am an educator and practitioner of natural health. I hold multiple diplomas and certificates, a whole lot of alphabet soup behind my name, which simply proves how passionate I am about learning, and my field in general. After multiples trials in my own health struggle, in 2007 I started a private consulting practice to share what I had learned. This has allowed me to help clients across the United States, and now in other countries to help them engage in the process of their own health by identifying the HOW: how they got to their dis-ease destination and more importantly, what they can learn from it. By addressing underlying causes, creating a team of support, retraining lifestyle and sharing resources, my team and I help people to move towards optimal wellness using strategies and education. As my work and practice has continued to grow, it has sparked a drive to engage people in their own manifestations of true health and joyful living. This belief in human potential, individual significance, and innate wisdom is what started, and continues, to drive my personal mission.

My Personal Mission: To create environments conducive to healthy lives, and communities that make it easy to be healthy. I work to increase the use of nutrition and lifestyle as primary practice, raising mass consciousness and the health of our world.

For over 15 years now, I have devoted my life to educating and helping people take charge of their lives to overcome and empower themselves—and discover the lives they were meant to live. I believe I was not called to study “pathogenesis”, looking for the CAUSE of the disease, but to follow the study of “salutogenesis”, rather, answering the question, “What causes health?” and creating an environment internally for the cells to thrive, and externally for the whole being to thrive.

Now, we have put together a qualified compassionate team to help carry out courses of education, a system inside a therapeutic partnership, walking with you step by step on your journey.

My doctorates and scope of practice are of the professor/scientist/researcher variety; I and my team put great effort into education and training, to help clients take charge of their own health expression, or as we call it, learning to DO the things that cause health, a “practice of salutogenesis” if you will.

I am also a Clinical Nutritionist, specializing in Autoimmune and Trauma Nutrition. Not only can I help with general nutrition, diabetes, and weight concerns, but this also encompasses a whole realm of people that fall in the “gaps” in conventional medicine.

"The metaphor suggested by Antonovsky (1996 (Links to an external site.)) and further developed by Eriksson and Lindström (2008 (Links to an external site.)) on the river of health is a good illustration for visualizing overlaps between these concepts. Where curative medicine is devoted to help people who are drowning and preventive medicine is helping people not to fall into the river, the salutogenic approach and sense of coherence is focusing on enabling people to swim."

"What she does is beyond scientific discovery and more than you could ask for in a wellness practitioner.  Using a unique set of intuitive gifts, an unparalleled education pathway, and life changing experiences, her consultations are second to none." - a happy client from 2013

"Her compassionate approach, which takes into account not just physical symptoms but well-being on every level, has repeatedly given relief and results.  That's why we sought her out."  J.P.Family
